ABOUT LYDIA
Growing up in Belfast, Maine, I learned about hard work and resilience from a young age. My parents worked low-wage jobs and we were often one small step away from financial disaster. They worked long hours, devoted time to helping others, and made sure my brother and I had our basic needs met. And still, it wasn’t enough. I know firsthand the challenges Mainers face trying to pay medical bills, afford groceries, and keep warm in the winter. And now, more than ever, we need leaders in Augusta who can make sure our policies reflect the needs of our state.
I want to be sure children growing up in Maine today see a place for themselves in a thriving economy with adequate housing, strong education, access to healthcare, and pristine natural resources. I’m proud to serve House District 46 in Augusta and look forward to returning for my third term.
